Also I could later plug in an Audio Interface to it (my Babyface is only USB 2 I think), now I don't think or I don't think if it makes any difference at all if such a thing is connected over USB 2 or 3, but yeah… #noobhere Maybe my thought was useless and it makes no difference. (it's sold like that)Īnd so I thought "why not get USB 3 to get maximal performance?"

Your solution requires whatever you will connect to your Mac to have eSATA, no? Basically I bought NI Komplete Ultimate and it comes with a hard drive with USB 3. Ĭheers johnYup it's a dual processor! But I'm not sure if I get what you mean. Those ports are great and you can run whatever external drive you wish. or i still cannot find mine !!! i brought the eSata ports out to an extra PCI slot !!!

the Single Processors do not have these extra ports. I bought a ThermalTake Toaster for drives and it has USB 2.0 / eSata - i used to run it off one of the Extra internal Sata Ports on a Dual Processor MacPro. but not sure how much Kit is out there for that anymore. Is your beast a Dual Processor ? eSata is another route.
